Linda Ikeji drags Wizkid to court, risks jail term

It is obvious that the feud between Linda Ikeji and Wizkid cannot be contended.

After series of drama between Wizkid and the celebrity blogger got hotter, Linda could no longer handle the heat coming to her as she has filed a complaint report with the Lagos state Commissioner of police, Fatai Owoseni.

Linda Ikeji filed the report stating that Wizkid had threatened to assault her due to some of the comments he posted on her Instagram page some weeks back. The statements read: “If I ever see you, I’ll get my 16-year old cousin to beat the shit out of you.”

Nigeria set to receive Ibori, others from UK

The Federal Government has said that it is ready to receive Nigerians serving various jail terms in different prisons across the world.
This was contained in a statement signed by Mr Francis Enobore, the Spokesperson of the Nigerian Prisons Service (NPS).
The statement said the decision followed the Prison Transfer Agreement entered with the governments of the various countries involved.
A former governor of Delta state, Mr James Ibori, is among some high-profile Nigerians currently serving jail terms in the United Kingdom.
According to the statement, Dr Peter Ekpendu, the Comptroller-General of the NPS made the disclosure during an inspection visit to the Kuje Medium Security Prison. The Minister of Interior, retired Lt.-Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazau, and officials of the UK Embassy in Nigeria were among dignitaries that paid the inspection visit.
“Our prisons are ready. We are ready to receive the prisoners anytime they are brought back,” the statement quoted Ekpendu as saying.
Earlier, Dambazau cleared the air on the speculation that government was concentrating on developing the Kuje Prison as it normally hosts high-profile inmates.
“Our concentration is not just on Kuje prison but some prisons in other states, including the Kirikiri Prison.
“We are hoping that by the time the budget is signed and we get our releases, we are going to embark on renovation of some prisons, capacity building and reinforcement of security.
“The prisoners exchange agreement is quiet at an advanced stage, but there are a lot of issues involved.
“First of all, we have to clear that, legally, in terms of the rights of the prisoner, so that we do not violate any and there are still other issues that we are considering,” the minister said.

Jadore Fashion: Biker Chic

What I Am Wearing:
H&M Jacket // Tee  // Jeans  // Sunglasses // Sophia Webster shoes

Can’t wait for the weekend; I will definitely have a blazer or leather jacket in hand if gets cold or windy. Talking about jackets, this H&M 'biker' jacket adds an edgy look to outfits and it has become a staple for me this spring. Today’s post showcases a casual look for the weekend with a pair of jeans that goes well with a plain tee or graphic tee. I might ditch the fun heels and pair this outfit with an Adiddas sneaker or converse which will equally look great. - Esther

Anti Aging drugs costs just 10 cents

Metformin is said to delay the onset of aging and prevent such diseases as Parkinsons and Alzheimers.

For centuries, mankind has been trying to figure out a way to extend human lives. The answer to this long-standing question may have been found, in the form of a tiny pill that costs just 10 cents.

Scientists are set to test on human beings next year the world’s first anti-ageing drug called metformin that can possibly extend lives up to 120 years old, according to the New Zealand Herald.

To make it even more interesting, the makers of the anti-aging drug claim that the latter can also wipe out diseases that go with ageing such as Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s.

Sounds too good to be true? The researchers that developed the drug have already conducted tests that proved its effectiveness in extending the lives of animals.

In fact, the United States’ Food and Drug Administration has also given its go-ahead to test the drug, originally conceived as a medication to cure diabetes, on human beings. Should the human testing of the drug turn out successful, a 70-year-old person taking the drug will be in a healthy medical state comparable to that of a 50-year-old.

Ageing expert Professor Gordon Lithgow, of the Buck Institute for Research on Ageing in California, who is one of the study advisers, said metformin is nothing short of “revolutionary.”

“If you target an ageing process and you slow down ageing then you slow down all the diseases and pathology of ageing as well… That’s never happened before,” Lithgow told The New Zealand Herald.

“I have been doing research into ageing for 25 years and the idea that we would be talking about a clinical trial in humans for an anti-ageing drug would have been thought inconceivable,” he added.

Lithgow further said that this drug can define the future of science.

“There is every reason to believe it’s possible. The future is taking the biology that we’ve now developed and applying it to humans,” the professor said.

Willow smith: Journey so far/Teen Vogue’s Cover Star for May 2016

 She's amazing, a great success, I won't say a role model, but at 15 she's amazing.- OSCRoyal
At 15, Willow Smith is the sum of many things and conformity is none of them! The youngest child of box-office legends Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith, she’s a Hollywood progeny, a musical wunderkind, a science whiz kid and with her recent appointment as Chanel’s new ambassador, she is an official style icon-in-the-making.

Willow speaks of their connection with her brother as kismet — “We’re like binary stars, like two parts of one thing,” she explains. “I know what he’s thinking at all times. And he knows what I’m thinking. We’re not identical twins, but it feels like that in a lot of ways.”

Three things we learnt from Willow Smith in her Teen Vogue interview:

Willow Smith sews clothes
She hosts underground teachings in quantum mechanics
She is also studying to produce songs from mathematical equations!
While interviewing her, she lunged into an impassioned soliloquy about the disturbing lack of female representation in male-dominated fields. “There is such a need for more female photographers, physicists, astronauts, doctors.…”

Friends that can ruin your life- avoid them, find direction

To achieve goals in life,  you don't do it alone- meeting like minds is a hard business, you wonder why?, its not a business?, you think?, well it is. Read the post below I'm pretty sure it will influence you in a  positive way - to know who your true friends are and to find direction.- OSCRoyal
I remember the night so clearly. I was driving down a dark, narrow two-lane road with the gas pedal to the floor. Intoxicated. It was the night my life hit rock bottom. I wasn’t man enough to throw my truck in front of a tree. But if I happened to lose control, then so be it.

How did I get to this point? One word: friends. Don’t get me wrong. I owned my actions. My friends didn’t put me behind the wheel. I was responsible for the mess that was my life.

But the man behind the steering wheel that night allowed the actions of his friends to influence the man God created him to be. “Bad company corrupts good morals.” These are the words of the apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians 15. But the words never applied to me. Or so I thought.

Looking back, I realize my naivety. The words did apply to me. Truth isn’t selective. It doesn’t pick and choose. And the truth in Paul’s words is a warning for us. Your friends WILL shape your life.

In fact, friendships contribute more to the man or woman you are going to be (or have become) than any factor outside of God. Bold words, I know.

But this one reality might change the trajectory of your life. My prayer for this post is that one person will see that their friends are shackling them from becoming the man or woman God created them to be. And they will make some changes.

Your friends can challenge you to achieve things you never imagined. Your friends can also cripple your dreams, leaving you on a two-lane road feeling hopeless.

Here are seven friends that will ruin your life.

1) The “tells you what you want to hear” friend
These friends say exactly what you want them to say. They do exactly what you want them to do. To put it bluntly, they are groupies, not friends. Groupies think their respective group, player, etc. hung the moon. The person they admire could open-hand slap an old lady on a cane, and a groupie would find some way to justify it.

These friends don’t really love you. They are infatuated with something you have. Popularity. Looks. Athleticism. But they aren’t concerned with pointing you to God and challenging you to be the best man or woman you can be.

Friends who love you and want you to succeed point out flaws.

Friends who love you and want you to succeed will point out your inconsistencies.

They don’t enjoy doing this. But, with love and grace, they step into difficult conversations because they can’t bear to watch you continue down a path that might lead to destruction.

2) The “not that serious about God” friend
You know these friends. They usually go to worship on Sunday. They might go on a foreign mission trip. But they never give God their lives. These friends are lukewarm. They think God is OK with having some of the pie.

These friends are toxic because they model a dangerous approach to Christian living. The approach that says status quo Christianity is OK. There is no reason to be a Jesus freak. Jesus freaks don’t enjoy life. So go to worship on Sunday. Read the Bible occasionally. But leave a piece of the pie for yourself.

And the moment you try to go “all in” for God, you will meet fierce resistance. Believe me. I have been there.

Several times in my teenage and early adult years, I wanted to go all in for God. But my friends weren’t there. And they saw my attempt to go all in as a threat to our Friday and Saturday nights. So, I heard statements like these:

“Are you really going to stop partying, getting drunk, etc.? You know there is no way you will stick to it. In two weeks, you will be back to your old self.”

And my friends were right. After a few weeks, I was back to my old self.

As long as “not that serious about God” friends are close enough to you to ask these questions, you will never give your full allegiance to God.

3) The “no ambition” friend
Our greatest fear should not be of failure but of succeeding at things in life that don’t really matter. Francis Chan

These friends have ambition. But only toward things that don’t matter. Like completing two seasons of their favorite Netflix show in one day. If you mention Xbox, movies, the opposite sex, or the game plan for Friday and Saturday night, these friends perk up like the time I poured water on my roommate when he was sleeping.

But if you mention serving in the community, studying for a test or attending a Bible study, you might as well be talking to a brick wall.

Surround yourself with people who want to make the world a better place. Surround yourself with people who want to do well in areas that matter.

You were created in the image of God. This means you were created to learn, grow and give. You were created to make the world a better place and do things with excellence. Surround yourself with people who get this … and practice it.

4) The “attention must be on me” friend
Spotlight on me. All. The. Time. Do you have friends like this?

These friends are plagued with jealousy and bitterness. They are extremely insecure. And here’s the big one … their lives are plagued with drama. They live a real life soap opera. And most of these friends have no idea why drama always follows them.

Here’s why.

These friends sell their souls to the gods of attention and spotlight. These gods are ruthless. They require everything. And the gods of attention and spotlight kick you to the curb for their next victim once they destroy your worth and value.

These friends are toxic because they are always takers. They take your energy. They take your joy. They take your time. And they will never celebrate your successes. They can’t. The gods of spotlight and attention won’t allow them to celebrate you. It means they take a backseat.

True friends are givers. They celebrate you. They are ok with taking a back seat to you. They listen to you. Surround yourself with givers.

5) The “everyone else is doing it” friend
If I had a nickel for every time I heard (or spoke) this phrase as a teenager and young adult, I would be writing this post from an oversized yacht in the Pacific. The “everyone else is doing it” friend justifies every action. Nothing is their fault.

“Yeah, I was doing that, but Jill made me do it.”

“Johnny actually sent the text, I just wrote it. So, it’s really his fault.”

You get the idea? Not only do these friends refuse to accept responsibility for their actions, they also refuse to stand for anything. They go with the flow. They roll with the crowd. They are influenced heavily by peer pressure. If the crowd is doing it, they are doing it.

Here’s why these friends are toxic. As they follow the crowd, they will encourage you to do so as well. As they refuse to take accept responsibility for their actions, they will encourage you to do so as well.

You need friends who are confident in their identity. They are content in Christ. They are steadfast in their convictions. Because even if you are the strong one, it only takes one moment of weakness for this friend to take you down a road you never intended to travel.

6) The “sees the worst in everything” friend
We live in a world where cynicism is the default posture of the majority. It’s rare to find someone who looks at the world through a positive lens. Even Christian leaders and preachers (myself included, at times) present God as an angry cynic who can’t wait to destroy the world.

God’s default posture is optimism. Your friends should see the world through God’s lens.

But this is not God’s default posture. He looks at the world through the lens of restoration, redemption, and hope. You can’t look at the world through this lens unless you have an optimistic worldview.

Negative people are exhausting. They drain your life and enthusiasm. They leave you feeling like the world, in general, and your life, in particular, are hopeless.

If you have friendships that drive you deeper into cynicism and hopelessness, it’s time to consider ending the relationship. The world is how you see it. You can choose to see good. You can choose to see bad. Your friends should choose the former because your friends love Jesus.

Find those friends. And cling to them.

7) The “doesn’t know how to forgive” friend
These friends make a list of every person who disses them, shames them or shows them up. And they check it twice. They spend a lot of their time and energy seeking revenge. They wade in a pool of bitterness and resentment, drowning out any notion of forgiveness and grace.

“If Jesus was in my shoes, he would do the same thing!” This is a typical response from these friends.

These friends are cool with you … until you do something to belittle them. Then you go on the hit list with everyone else. Grace has a short leash. Oh, they want God to extend them grace, but they don’t believe God expects them to extend the same level of grace and forgiveness.

Find friends who model forgiveness and refuse to build a wall of bitterness over their heart. This is a rare virtue in our culture. So, if you find someone modeling gospel-centered forgiveness, hang on to them.

These words aren’t a call to cut ties with every friend who exhibits any of these qualities. Instead, I hope and pray you will seriously consider the people you allow to shape your life. The perfect friend doesn’t exist, but we shouldn’t settle when it comes to friendships. Too much is at stake.

I think about the friends in my life the night I hit bottom and the friends in my life today. When I sit down with friends today, we aren’t talking about the hottest girl, the latest gossip or how drunk we were last weekend. We talk about stuff that matters. And that almost always includes Jesus. My friends today challenge me to love my wife more intimately, love my kids more passionately and love God more fully.

Choose your friends wisely. They will impact who you are in the present and who you will become in the future.

On buharis travels: $6bn Chinese Loan, currency swap to shore up naira

This post was copied from thisday publication. I've always hoped that Mr presidents constant travel yields produce eventually, but I'm sorry to say that this is not the first time we've had such promises without end point. Maybe there are end points, maybe,  but eventually time will tell. lets hope the government keeps the public in check about how this deal finally improves the lives of Nigerians.

Extract: thisday newspaper

China has offered Nigeria a $6 billion loan to fund infrastructure projects, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Geoffrey Onyema, said yesterday in Beijing the Chinese capital.

“It is a credit that is on the table as soon as we identify the projects,” he told reporters travelling with President Muhammadu Buhari to China.

“It won’t need an agreement to be signed; it is just to identify the projects and we access it,” he said.
The confirmation by Onyema coincided with an agreement reached between Nigeria and China yesterday on a currency swap deal, as it looks for ways to shore up the naira and fund a record budget deficit, possibly by issuing yuan-denominated bonds in China, reported Reuters.

Nigeria is facing its worst economic crisis in decades as sinking oil prices eat into its foreign reserves and the naira weakens against other currencies.

Nigeria has been for months looking for sources to help plug a projected 2016 deficit of N2.2 trillion ($11.1 billion) as Buhari plans to triple capital spending in the 2016 fiscal year.

According to Reuters, during Buhari’s visit to Beijing, the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Ltd (ICBC), the world’s biggest lender, and Nigeria’s central bank signed a deal on yuan transactions.
“It means that the renminbi (yuan) is free to flow among different banks in Nigeria, and the renminbi has been included in the foreign exchange reserves of Nigeria,” Lin Songtian, Director General of the African Affairs Department of China’s foreign ministry, told reporters.

The agreement was reached following a meeting between Buhari and Chinese President Xi Jinping.
The move comes after Finance Minister, Mrs. Kemi Adeosun, said on Saturday that Nigeria was looking at Chinese panda bonds – yuan-denominated bonds sold by overseas entities on the mainland – adding that they would be cheaper than Eurobonds.

Nigeria’s central bank has said it plans to diversify its foreign exchange reserves away from the dollar by switching a stockpile into yuan. It converted up to a tenth of its reserves into yuan five years ago.
Lin said a framework on currency swaps has been agreed with Nigeria, making it easier to settle trade deals in yuan. China has signed currency swap deals with countries ranging from Kazakhstan to Argentina as it promotes wider use of its yuan.

Beijing also signed agreements to develop infrastructure in Nigeria, part of a drive to deepen its ties with Africa. ICBC signed a $2 billion loan deal with Dangote Group, the company owned by Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, to fund two cement plants it plans, he told Reuters.

China’s official Xinhua news agency cited President Xi as telling Buhari that there was huge potential for economic cooperation, naming oil refining and mining.
Aly Khan Satchu, a portfolio manager at Rich Management, said the deal would pave the way for panda bonds but this would not be enough to ease pressure on the naira.

Buhari has rejected calls to devalue the currency.
“Nigerian FX policy remains the elephant in the room and China or a panda bond is not going to be enough to stop what will eventually become a tsunami of a devaluation,” he said.
Towards this end, Buhari has directed that technical committees should be established immediately to finalise discussions on the new joint Nigeria/China rail, power, manufacturing, agriculture and solid mineral projects.

A statement by his spokesman, Mr Garba Shehu said the president gave the directive in Beijing yesterday after talks between his delegation and high-ranking Chinese government officials led by President Jinping.
The technical committees are to conclude their assignments before the end of next month.
Buhari had at the talks welcomed China’s readiness to assist Nigeria in her bid to rapidly industrialise and join the world’s major economies.

The statement said that President Jinping agreed that Nigeria’s chosen path of development through economic diversification was the best way to go.
To help Nigeria to achieve this, China promised to fully support the country through infrastructure development and capacity building.

China also expressed an interest in setting up major projects in Nigeria such as refineries, power plants, mining companies, textile manufacturing and food processing industries as soon as the enabling environment is provided by the federal government.

In response to Buhari’s desire to make Nigeria self-sufficient in food production, Jinping offered $15 million agricultural assistance to Nigeria for the establishment of 50 Agricultural Demonstration Farms across the country.

Shehu said China and Nigeria also agreed to strengthen military and civil service exchanges as part of a larger capacity-building engagement.
In line with this, China offered to raise its scholarship awards to Nigerian students from about 100 to 700 annually.

In addition, 1,000 other Nigerians are to be given vocational and technical training by China annually.
The statement said Jinping applauded the war against corruption being waged by Buhari.
The Chinese leader assured Buhari that Nigeria would always have a special place in the affairs of the Peoples Republic of China.

After the talks, Buhari and Jinping witnessed the signing of several agreements and memorandums of understanding (MoUs) by Nigeria and China.

The MoUs included a framework agreement between the Ministry of Trade and Investment and the National Development and Reform Commission of the Peoples Republic of China.
Others were an MoU on aviation cooperation between the Ministry of Transportation (Aviation) and the Ministry of Commerce of the Peoples Republic of China and an MoU between Nigeria and China on scientific and technological cooperation.

Meanwhile, Buhari yesterday in Beijing appealed to Chinese investors to consider citing industries in Nigeria instead of seeing the country as a market for dumping goods.
He called on the Nigerian and Chinese business communities to work harder to reduce the trade imbalance between both countries currently in China’s favour.

A statement issued yesterday from China by the president’s spokesman, Mr. Femi Adesina, said Buhari spoke at the opening of a Nigeria-China Business/Investment Forum.
Buhari said that trade and economic relations between both countries must be mutually beneficial and conducted with reciprocated respect and trust.

“Although the Nigerian and Chinese business communities have recorded tremendous successes in bilateral trade, there is a large trade imbalance in favour of China, as Chinese exports represent some 80 per cent of the total bilateral trade volume. This gap needs to be reduced.
“Therefore, I would like to challenge the business communities in both countries to work together to reduce the trade imbalance.

“You must also imbibe the spirit of having a mutually beneficial relationship in your business transactions. You must not see Nigeria as a consumer market alone, but as an investment destination where goods can be manufactured and consumed locally,” Buhari told the gathering.
The president said that his administration was committed to supporting investors that are ready to establish manufacturing and processing facilities in Nigeria.

“Last year during our meeting in New York, President Xi Jinping and I agreed to explore ways of practical cooperation in trade, investment, finance, human resources, agriculture and fishing.
“We also agreed to strengthen industrial capacity cooperation in the manufacture of cars, household appliances, construction materials, textiles, food processing, and others.

“This is in line with our government’s focus on import substitution through the creation of a diversified and inclusive economy that will meet most of our consumption needs.

“Already, our Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment is working on projects and programmes that will correct the wrongs of the past and enhance the ease of doing business in Nigeria.
“The ministry’s efforts will be complemented by investment tax incentive programmes, public sector reform initiatives, as well as our zero tolerance stance on corruption.

“We also have an aggressive but realistic infrastructure development programme that forms the backbone of our economic diversification policy. We are embarking on major power, road, rail, seaport and airport development programmes that will enhance the competitiveness of manufacturing businesses in Nigeria.
“The future is bright and I am very confident that our policies will make Nigeria the investment destination of your choice,” Buhari told the Chinese investors.
The president also assured them that his administration was doing everything possible to address concerns about security in Nigeria.

Buhari said that to consolidate on recent successes against Boko Haram, close to 20 per cent of the 2016 budgeted expenditure had been allocated to the Ministries of Defence and Interior as well as other security agencies.

“We are committed to protecting all lives and property within our borders. You can therefore be rest assured that your investments in Nigeria will be safe and secure,” he said.
Business and trade relations between Nigeria and China have grown astronomically in the last decade with bilateral trade volumes rising from $2.8 billion in 2005 to $14.9 billion in 2015.

Nigeria accounted for 8.3 per cent of the total trade volume between China and Africa and 42 per cent of the total trade volume between China and the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) countries in 2015.

The efforts of the Buhari-led administration to diversify the nation’s economy away from oil also got a boost yesterday when an agreement that will herald one of the largest granite mining and processing plants in Africa was signed in Beijing between Shanghai Shibang Machinery Co. Limited (SBM) and a local company, Granite and Marble Limited.

The companies also signed an MoU to establish a plant for the assembly of mining equipment as well as supporting capacity building for the industry.
The signing ceremony was the highlight of the business forum on production capacity and investment cooperation organised as part of Buhari’s state visit to China.
The granite mining and processing plant is being supported with the special intervention fund of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) through Zenith Bank Plc.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, the board Chairman of SBM, Mr. Songke Yang, expressed optimism that with the commitment exhibited by Buhari during the forum, the plants should come on stream during the course of the year and promises to be a major player in the development of the nation’s solid minerals sector.
On his own part, the Chairman of Granite and Marble, Mr. Chiahemba Ayom, thanked the Ministers of Trade and Investment and Solid Minerals, as well as their agencies and the financial institutions for their immense support and encouragement in seeing the project through.

Many people out there desperately want to be millionaires, and why wouldn’t they? While money may not buy happiness it can buy a better, less stressful and more fulfilled life. However, before you can be a millionaire you need to have the right strategy and know the reasons why you haven’t met this goal already.

Everybody who wants to be millionaire but isn’t has excuses. “I didn’t pick the right career,” “I can’t afford the schooling,” or “I don’t have time.” These are not reasons, but just excuses and excuses only get in the way of your success. Here are 10 reasons why people do not become millionaires.

1. You have no one guiding you in the right direction.
You need to surround yourself with positive people. Most importantly, you need to find someone you can trust that will help guide you in the right direction. The people you trust most should be the ones pushing you towards success. This is one advantage I did not have early on. I am entirely self-taught, which is why I have created my mentoring program to give that advantage to others.

2. You aren’t willing to make sacrifices.

You really cannot have your cake and eat it too, there are things that you will need to give up. If you can’t sacrifice things like hanging with friends or going out and partying in order to focus on your career, then you will never get the financial success you have been looking for.

3. You fear failure.
You will fail, you will make mistakes, and you need to learn to get over it. If you fear failure, you will never overcome it.

4. Your goals aren’t clear, so neither are your actions.
If you don’t have a clear goal in mind and clear action steps in place to reach that goal, you will never become a millionaire. Take the time to do the planning and do it right.

5. You think other people can succeed but not you.
Believe that you can succeed. Visualize yourself as that successful man or woman who you once envied. If you visualize yourself being a millionaire success, and truly believe it can happen, you are one step closer to your goal.

6. You think your background or location prevents your success.
Nothing can prevent you from success. Lets repeat that: nothing can prevent you from success.

7. You aren’t using the Internet.
The Internet has changed the world and it continues to change the world. If you aren’t using, you aren’t taking advantage of one of the most powerful money making tools out there.

8. You rationalize money can’t buy happiness and forget that it can buy freedom.
Money is your ticket to the freedom so many people want in this world. Freedom can lead to happiness. To find your motivation focus on the freedom that money can buy you.

9. You hang out with the wrong crowd.
The people around you should be your support system. They should be the people there for you, pushing you and keeping you positive and focused. Your crowd of friends and family should not be distractions or negative in any way. If they are, it is time to find a new crowd.

10. You play long shots like the lotto instead of building your skill set.
Building your own skill set and knowledge base is better for you in the long term. Sure, it takes more time and more work but it can lead you to the long-term success that you desire.

Keep these reasons in mind when you are working towards your next professional goal. You will see first hand what you are capable of if you just put these reasons off to the side and focus instead on your path towards becoming a millionaire.

11. You are ignorant of the laws of money and how money works
Most of the time the difference between the rich and the poor is the fact that the rich know and apply the laws of money while the poor just sit and dream about been rich without having the right knowledge of how money works. To be successful with money, you must understand how it works and its laws. Your becoming a millionaire depends largely on what you know.

Stella is always radiant in whatever she puts on; adding that sweet taste of strawberry for a single taste of bliss. Married and 'all', eleqant and quaint, what can we do but love?. check Stella out in this amazing new casual in white jeans and a beautiful top. Her bold face still has a smile, like a sexy 007, lol, and her curves... well, lets leave that for your thought. The bag is catchy, something 'they' can kill for. Have a nice view- OSCRoyal.

What I Am Wearing:
Renamed top // White jeans // Chloe bag // Lipstick "Flat Out Fabulous"

On a warm day in spring, I did a photoshoot from a tourist’s viewpoint and the perfect backdrop was DC’s popular China town. The scenery was amazing and the outfit matches perfectly.

I call today’s look a “casual chic look” perfect for a day in the city. I went with a flare white jeans and a nice off the shoulder top. I love the vibrant color of the top which blends perfectly with the crossbody bag. Crossbody bags are great for packing smaller items and of course, a nice accessory for a casual look.

Indonesia pledges support for Nigeria on industrialisation

THE Republic of Indonesia Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr. Harry Purwanto has expressed the need for Nigeria to begin to look at the possibilities of harnessing other huge opportunities to industrializing the country, saying that there is a lot for Nigeria to grow its economy aside oil.

According to the Ambassador, who gave the advice at the opening ceremony of a business meeting of Indonesia Solo Exhibition in Lagos, Nigeria is hugely blessed with several other dependable natural resources aside oil and it is high time Nigeria diversify from oil.

Ambassador Purwanto also told the meeting that it is interesting to know that President Buhari has put in plan to place Nigeria on the right direction and with globalisation, every country needed to do the imperatives to growing their economies.

Intimating further, he said that both Nigeria and Indonesia share similar proximities, stressing that, “Indonesia has achieved in industrialising itself and we want to share with Nigeria our experiences.”

Notably, he pointed out that although, no nation can be self-sufficient, it is imperative for countries to often work hand in hand to finding solutions to building one another.

However, the meeting was introduced to various existing business and investment opportunities that are bound in Indonesia, while listing other possible areas of business to include agriculture, mining, power generation and distribution, manufacturing and ship building.

According to Ambassador Purwanto, it is important for Nigerians to know that Indonesia is known by good quality products and hold highly the bi-trade relations shared with Nigeria, adding that most of goods like garments, soap, medicine and others being consumed in Nigeria and Europe are from Indonesia.

Also speaking at the business meeting, the Director, Indonesian Trade Promotion Centre, Lagos, Mr. Nino Setiawan, said that the exhibition was a reminder of the existing bilateral ties between his country and Nigeria.

He stressed that the two countries trade relations are becoming stronger as days go by, while promising to remain committed towards ensuring that Nigerians who are interested in investing and or doing business with Indonesians enjoy the best of the Trade Center’s assistance.
“Based on our two countries growing trade partnership, I am certain to say that the Indonesian Ministry of Trade and Industry will continue to contribute to the development of Nigeria’s non-oil and gas sector, as well as provide assistance to a number of Nigerians interested in any trade partnership with Indonesian companies”, the Trade Director added.

So far so good, I tink there is still hope for our great nation to acquire great industrialization and acquire it fast.

Ambode lights up Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway

So far so good, Lagos State Government (past and present) are so serious about making the state one of the best in the country (I think)  as they have uttered the words "LET THERE BE LIGHT" in the Lagos - Abeokuta expressway.
Mr Akinwunmi Ambode, Governor of Lagos State on Tuesday commissioned the light up of the stretch of Lagos-Abeokuta expressway from Ile Zik to former Toll Gate, in Sango Ota.
Ambode said that the initiative was part of the promise of building a 24/7 economy that would create employment and wealth for the people.
He assured that his administration would ensure that no part of the state was left untouched in the Light Up Lagos Initiative.
Ambode said that the Light Up Lagos Project was built on a tripod consisting the Light Up Lagos Power Advisory Committee, Community Electrification and the Street Lighting Initiative.
He said the commissioning would provide adequate illumination on strategic highways in keeping with his vision to light up all major roads and border towns in the state.
“It is very important to note that the Light Up Lagos Project goes beyond lighting up roads.
“As a state, we have keyed into the change mantra of President Muhammadu Buhari and have taken the project to federal roads.
“We have gotten the support of Federal Government agencies to take over federal roads, put new installations and retrofit existing installations that are not working,” he said.
Ambode said that his government lit up numerous roads including federal roads to enhance security, among others.
He said that the project was an integral part of his programmes geared toward putting Lagos on the same pedestal and status as similar megalopolis in the world.
The governor said that the initiative was also part of the security strategy to make Lagos competitive, safe and secure.
He assured that Seme in Badagry and other border towns would have their streets lit by September.
Ambode urged residents to take ownership of the project and report any suspicious activity around the facilities to security agencies.
He also urged communities, organisations and individuals to key into the initiative through the ‘Adopt A Street Light’ programme
Ambode said the government would reciprocate with concessions in the payment of Land Use Charge as well as presentation of letters of commendation.
Earlier, the Commissioner for Energy and Mineral Resources, Mr Olawale Oluwo, said most of the installations were connected to the existing Independent Power Plants of the state.
Oluwo said this development had saved the state government significantly in the cost of additional generating sets and fuelling them.
Also speaking, Senator representing Lagos West, Mr Adeola Solomon, commended Ambode for the various developmental projects in the state, especially in the Alimosho axis.
Well done Sir, God bless you and our great nation!!!

Boko Haram terrorists flee as Airforce, Army bombard Sambisa

This great country of ours are bent on wiping the "boko haram"  off the face of this earth by any means necessary and so far so good ; they are on the run.

Aftermath of intensified Airforce bombardment and Army artillery fire on remaining hideouts of Boko Haram terrorists in Sambisa Forest, the remnants of the insurgents have fleed the forest in bid to escape.

Confirming the development in a statement, Acting Director of Army Public Relations, Col Sani Usman said, “This is to inform the public that due to aerial bombardment and concerted efforts of the ground troops; and facing imminent annihilation, Boko Haram terrorists have been deserting Sambisa forest in droves.

Usman said that as they are fleeing the military bombardment, the terrorists are trying to disperse to various parts of the country.

“The cowards are running away from their well noted enclave in Sambisa forest for their lives.

“Consequently it becomes necessary to inform the public, especially well meaning Nigerians, to be more vigilant and security conscious.

“The public are please requested to be observant and report any suspicious persons or group of persons to the military or any of the security agencies to enable timely detection and apprehension of the fleeing insurgents before they mingle with the society and commit havoc.

“We would like to reassure the public of the confidentiality of the information provided and reiterate our commitment to the clearance of the remnants of Boko Haram terrorists” the statement added.

God help our great nation!!!

Al Qaeda 'very active' in Afghanistan: U.S. Commander

Afghanistan's top defense official has warned that al Qaeda -- the reason the United States first invaded Afghanistan -- is "very active" and a "big threat" in the country.
A senior U.S. official said they were concerned about al Qaeda leaders in remote areas of the country and there may be many more core operatives in Afghanistan than previously thought.
The warnings of al Qaeda's resurgence come as Afghanistan faces perhaps the most significant summer fighting season in decades, with government security forces facing huge internal challenges, the Taliban both gaining ground and building links to al Qaeda, and ISIS increasing its footprint in the country.

Definition of terms:
Inflammation is a localized protective response elicited by injury or destruction of tissues, which serves to destroy, dilute, or wall off both the injurious agent and the injured tissue. The classic signs of inflammation are heat, redness, swelling, pain, and loss of function.
The three major components of this process are.
(1) Changes in the caliber of blood vessels and the rate of blood flow through them (hemodynamic changes);
(2) Increased capillary permeability; and
(3) Leukocytic exudation.
Cellular changes in inflammation: 1, margination of neutrophils brings these inflammatory cells in close contact with the endothelium. 2, adhesion of platelets results in the release of mediators of inflammation and coagulation. Fibrin strands are the first signs of clot formation. 3, pavementing of leukocytes is mediated by adhesion molecules activated by the mediators of inflammation released from platelets and leukocytes. RBC; red blood cells. From Damjanov, 2000.

Leukocyte is a type of blood cell that lacks hemoglobin and is therefore colorless.

Mechanism of Action
Polymorphonuclear leukocytes (neutrophils) are essential in the defense against invading microorganisms, tissue trauma or any inciting inflammatory signals. Hepatic infiltration of neutrophils is an acute response to recent or ongoing liver injury, hepatic stress or unknown systemic inflammatory signals. Once neutrophils reach the liver, they can cause mild-to-severe tissue damage and consequent liver failure. For neutrophils to appear in the liver, neutrophils have to undergo systemic activation (priming) by inflammatory mediators such as cytokines, chemokines, complement factors, immune complexes, opsonized particles and other biologically active molecules, e.g., platelet activating factor. Neutrophils accumulated in the hepatic microvasculature (sinusoids and postsinusoidal venules) can extravasate (transmigrate) into the hepatic parenchyma if they receive a signal from distressed cells. Transmigration can be mediated by a chemokine gradient established towards the hepatic parenchyma and generally involves orchestration by adhesion molecules on neutrophils (beta(2) integrins) and on endothelial cells (intracellular adhesion molecules, ICAM-1). After transmigration, neutrophils adhere to distressed hepatocytes through their beta(2) integrins and ICAM-1 expressed on hepatocytes. Neutrophil contact with hepatocytes mediate oxidative killing of hepatocytes by initiation of respiratory burst and neutrophil degranulation leading to hepatocellular oncotic necrosis. Neutrophil-mediated liver injury has been demonstrated in a variety of diseases and chemical/drug toxicities.
Inflammation is a defense reaction caused by tissue damage or injury, characterized by redness, heat, swelling, and pain. The primary objective of inflammation is to localize and eradicate the irritant and repair the surrounding tissue. For the survival of the host, inflammation is a necessary and beneficial process. The inflammatory response involves three major stages: first, dilation of capillaries to increase blood flow; second, microvascular structural changes and escape of plasma proteins from the bloodstream; and third, leukocyte transmigration through endothelium and accumulation at the site of injury.

Definition of terms:
A paraneoplastic syndrome is a syndrome (a set of signs and symptoms) that is the consequence of cancer in the body but that, unlike mass effect, is not due to the local presence of cancer cells

These phenomena are mediated by humoral factors (by hormones or cytokines) excreted by tumor cells or by an immune response against the tumor.
Paraneoplastic syndromes are typical among middle-aged to older patients, and they most commonly present with cancers of the lung, breast, ovaries or lymphatic system (a lymphoma)
Paraneoplastic syndromes can be divided into four main categories: endocrine, neurological, mucocutaneous and hematological paraneoplastic syndromes, as well as others that may not fit into any of the above categories:
Syndrome class
Main causal cancers
Causal mechanism

Ectopic ACTH and ACTH-like substance
PTHrP (Parathyroid hormone-related protein), TGF-α, TNF, IL-1[7]

See hematological paraneoplastic syndromes

inflammation of the brain and spinal cord

Autoimmune reaction against the RNA-binding protein Nova-1
Autoimmune reaction against NMDA-receptor subunits

  • Immunologic
  • Secretion of EGF

Mucins that activate clotting, others
  • Advanced cancers
  • Various

Although fever is the most common presentation, several clinical pictures may be observed, each of which specifically simulates more common benign conditions. These syndromes vary from dermatomyositis-polymyositis to Cushing syndrome
